I am so excited to be offering you my first book. And like the title of the book, becoming a published author has been an adventure in manifesting!
Several years ago, I decided to trust the Law of Attraction, after all, not only do I believe in it, but I also teach others this law. So when it came time to publish my first book, I decided that instead of searching for a publisher, one would come searching for me. Soon after I released this decision, I received an e-mail to participate in a competition, similar to American Idol where folks vote for the winner, called: The Next Top Spiritual Author, sponsored by the publisher Hampton Roads. I submitted my book pitch, in the form of a YouTube video, but I did not receive enough votes to move past the first round of the competition.
Months after the contest was over, and I had long forgotten about my video book pitch, I received an e-mail from Sean Patrick Simpson, co-founder of the Älska publishing co. who had seen my book pitch on YouTube, and wanted me to write a chapter for his upcoming book: Adventures in Manifesting – Health and Happiness. Woo-hoo! The Universe delivered and now I’m living the rest of the story!
This has been a huge lesson in asking, trusting, and receiving. And one that serves as a daily reminder for me to practice what I preach – our thoughts create our reality – and when I desire something to manifest, my thoughts must be clear and supportive of my desires, otherwise, the message and it’s manifestation are confusing at best, and impossible to achieve at worst.
